1940's Ropergate

1940s Jive Demonstrations and group dancing.
WheelFest is an all day event across the town centre of Pontefract featuring classic cars and additional entertainment including 1940s Ropergate!
We'll be demonstrating the 1940s Jive styles introduced by the American soldiers during and after WWII which went on to become the Rock n Roll dancing of the 1950s and 60s. To help the entertainment, we'll throw in a few suprises along the way too :)

We'll be running our main sessions at approximately 11.40am, 1.15pm, 2.30pm and possibly at other times too!

Times and activities may be affected by the prevailing weather conditions. If it rains, we'll be in the Post Office :) -
