Terms and Conditions for participation in want2jive.co.uk events

For the purposes of these terms:
Instructor, Want2jive and want2jive.co.uk all mean representatives approved in writing by Dave Baxter.
You means the person taking part in any activity provided by want2jive.co.uk
Event means any activity provided by want2jive.co.uk

If you are unsure as to whether you are able to take part in any activity, or you have any questions concerning these want2jive.co.uk Terms and Conditions, please contact us via email before attending a class.

1. Important Notices

1.1 Dancing has inherent risks. You accept these risks and are responsible for your own actions and involvement.

1.2 To take part in activities provided by want2jive.co.uk you should be in good physical health and able to undertake and successfully complete any relevant activity assessment should you be asked to do so. You accept that if you fail an activity assessment, you cannot continue to participate in the activity.

1.3 By attending activities provided by want2jive.co.uk, you have accepted and agreed that you comply with these Terms and Conditions.

2. Children and Young People

2.1 All participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

2.2 Age restrictions apply. A participant must be at least 12 years old at the time of the activities.

3. Safety

3.1 Safety briefings, where applicable, are given in English. In order to safely participate in any want2jive.co.uk activity you must be able to understand the briefing in full. If you do not understand any aspect of the safety briefing given to you, please ask for clarification at the time of the briefing, before you participate in the activity.

4. Respecting our staff and other customers

4.1 By attending activities provided by want2jive.co.uk, you agree to follow all instructions given by the Instructor(s).

4.2 If you do not act in accordance with these want2jive.co.uk Terms and Conditions your activity will end without any entitlement to a refund.

4.3 Dangerous or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated. If you are part of a group which causes a disturbance, the group will be treated as one and your activity will end without any entitlement to a refund.

5. Liability

5.1 want2jive.co.uk shall not be liable for:

5.1.1 any damage or loss of any property or items belonging to you, any member of your group or any third parties; or
5.1.2 personal injury or death of any person but only so far as such injury or death is not caused by want2jive.co.uk's negligence.

6. Policies and information

6.1 You agree to be bound by the Rules and Regulations in operation at the Venue at which the want2jive.co.uk activity is taking place.

7. Refunds for pre-booked events

7.1 In the event that you are unable to attend a pre-booked event, refund policy is as follows:

        NOTE 1 For 7.1.2 & 7.1.3 if your place is rebooked by another customer a full refund will be given.
        NOTE 2 If any pre-course video has been issued to you then any refund will be subject to a £10 reduction.
