Everything started out of the blue back in 2020 when we were asked to do some video coaching during Covid lockdown.
It was a great success and we were then approached by people asking us to run Jive Classes, with requests coming in to cover everything from complete beginners through to some more specialist stuff!
There's a lot of commitment to consider especially when we both have day jobs, so thanks to everyone for all the support along the way!
We're based in Yorkshire and are regulars on the local dancefloors, but love to travel to the biggest events too attending International events like Rhythm Riot (UK), Hemsby (UK), High Rockabilly (SP), Blues at Moonlight (SP), Rockin' Race (SP), Hot Rock n Boogie (UK) - where we also teach, Viva Las Vegas (USA) and more!
We've entered a few Jive competitions too, reaching the finals of the Atomic UK Jive Championships, coming second at the Rockabilly Blowout and winning the Wickstead Park and Hemsby Jive Contests. Many couples who dance together regularly end up with their own style over time. For us, it's a mixture of Rock n Roll, Rockabilly, Jump Blues and Swing Jive with lots of live musicality* and aerials** too. We have a ton of fun and are often asked to show people how we do it, so we thought we'd give it a try :)

* | Live musicality is the interpretation of the phrasing of the music and song as it plays. Rather than just moving to the beat, dancers adapt to the crescendos, choruses, pauses and even words of a song. |
** | Aerials are special moves like jumps, lifts and throws which can be incorporated into dance. |
